100KCrossing is looking for an Associate attorney to defend physicians, hospitals, and healthcare providers in medical malpractice matters in California. The role involves co-managing a caseload, assisting as second-chair trial counsel, and delivering strategic client guidance.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of civil defense litigation, is licensed in California, and demonstrates strong written/verbal communication, organization, and problem-solving under pressure.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of legal experience, preferably in civil defense, with litigation experience in medical malpractice a plus.
• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Independent and collaborative team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail while multitasking and meeting deadlines.
• Able to use and understand computer programs to analyze and solve business issues.

Responsibilities

• Co-manage a caseload of complex medical malpractice defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Represent physicians, hospitals and healthcare professionals in depositions, hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
• Serve as second-chair trial counsel depending on experience, developing trial themes and witness examinations.
• Manage trial preparation and develop comprehensive case strategies.
• Perform case evaluation and risk assessment with clients and insurers.
