  • Excellent writing skills, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and prioritize work tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Handle all aspects of discovery, including conducting and defending depositions.
  • Travel to multiple venues, including NYC venues, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, Rockland, Orange, and Westchester Counties.
  • Review medical records and other documents to prepare cases for trial.
  • Assist with trial preparation and participate in court proceedings as necessary.
  • Maintain communication with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel throughout the litigation process.

We are a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm and looking to increase its talented ranks of Attorneys by adding an Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience to join our growing Medical Malpractice Defense Department. Position Overview:

As an Associate Attorney in our Medical Malpractice Defense Department, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to defending our clients in complex litigation cases. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners and develop your skills in all aspects of medical malpractice defense.

Successful Candidate:

A self-starter with a strong work ethic and organizational skills are essential for this position. Must have good oral communication skills and ability to communicate and be personable with clients, court staff, adversaries, witnesses; and must be a true team player genuinely interested in working in a supportive, collaborative environment.
