Arnold Law Firm in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced mid- to senior-level attorney with medical malpractice experience to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will handle medical malpractice and general civil injury matters, with a minimum of 5 years of trial experience in personal injury and medical negligence cases.

The role requires deposing corporate defendants and expert witnesses, developing strong case strategies, and maintaining clear client communication from pre-suit

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience, ideally involving medical negligence/malpractice, catastrophic injury, and/or nursing home matters.
• Track record of successfully trying cases in front of a jury, preferred.
• Experience on Plaintiff side tort litigation, including wrongful death, dangerous property conditions, and trip-and-fall cases.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate medical malpractice claims, catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters from pre-suit investigation through trial.
• Analyze medical records, treatment history, liability, causation, and damages
• Draft pleadings, prepare discovery requests/responses, and draft demand letters and settlement agreements.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial, and execute trial strategies.
• Manage caseloads from inception through resolution, ensuring deadlines are met and strategies are aligned with client goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, consultants, and expert witnesses to build strong case foundations.
• Develop case strategies that maximize outcomes and accountability
• Maintain effective and timely communication with clients, addressing concerns and providing status updates throughout the litigation process.
• Independently handle complex legal issues and pursue informal resolution tactics when applicable.
• Attend client meetings, events, and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and external partners.
• Provide mentorship and collaborate with team members to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes for clients.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated mid- to senior-level attorney with medical malpractice experience to join our thriving legal team in Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will handle medical malpractice matters and general civil injury cases. Due to a significantly expanding caseload, the firm is seeking a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of trial experience in personal injury cases, ideally involving medical negligence/malpractice, catastrophic injury, and/or nursing home matters, including extensive experience deposing corporate defendants and expert witnesses. We are looking for an advocate who has a passion for justice and a stellar track record of success in trial.

Key Responsibilities:
