Job summary

Quarryside Animal Hospital in Jamesville, NY seeks a Medical Lead Veterinarian to guide medical excellence and mentor the DVM team while partnering with the Practice Manager to improve patient care and clinical standards.

You will lead a growth‑minded team, participate in leadership and mentorship programs, and contribute to community outreach within the Mission Pet Health network. A DVM license and strong leadership, collaboration, and financial acumen are required.

Qualifications

• DVM degree and a valid state license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical clinical experience.
• Servant leadership mentality with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Understanding of the financial and operating management of a hospital.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor all associate veterinarians, with regular performance discussions and development goals.
• Model medical excellence in medicine, client service, and efficiency while practicing as an associate veterinarian.
• Collaborate with the Practice Manager to develop the annual operating plan and drive hospital performance toward goals.
• Lead monthly doctor meetings, supervise externship and mentorship programs, and champion recruitment.
• Represent the hospital and Mission Pet Health in community engagement and outreach.
