Job summary

The Bariatric and Metabolic Interdisciplinary Program (BMI) at Cleveland Clinic seeks an experienced Obesity Medicine physician to serve as Medical Lead, providing clinical and strategic leadership for obesity medicine across the BMI program in Northeast Ohio.

The Medical Lead will mentor a multidisciplinary team of 18 providers, collaborate with bariatric surgery and related specialties, drive quality and access, advance education and research, and shape the future of obesity care in a premier

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree completed with board certification.
• Training and/or substantial experience in obesity medicine and bariatric care.
• ABOM certification and demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary obesity programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered medical management of obesity.
• Lead a multidisciplinary obesity medicine team across Clinic locations.
• Support preoperative evaluation and postoperative longitudinal care for bariatric patients.
• Mentor fellows, APPs, and trainees in obesity medicine.
• Advance clinical quality, access, and care standardization within BMI.
• Engage in academic activities and clinical trials as available.
