Job summary

Northeast Montana Health Services, Inc., d/b/a Poplar Community Hospital, in Poplar, MT, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform bench work across laboratory areas on clinical specimens and ensure accurate test results.

The role requires MT licensure (Clinical Laboratory Scientist), a bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology, and a national license (ASCP/AMT/NCA). Eligible candidates must be able to work permanently in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology or related field with at least two years of experience.
• Montana state license as Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Nationally recognized license (ASCP, AMT or NCA).
• Eligible to work permanently in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic bench work in all laboratory areas on clinical specimens.
• Understand quality control and troubleshoot QC problems.
• Register patients, orders, run and report tests in the LIS.
• Maintain CLIA regulations.
• Report to the Director of Laboratory Services.

Job description

Northeast Montana Health Services, Inc., d/b/a Poplar Community Hospital, in Poplar, MT based hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Responsibilities include:

• performing basic bench work in all areas f the laboratory on clinical specimens
• understanding basic quality control/ troubleshooting quality control problems
• correctly registering patients, order, run and result tests in the hospital/laboratory information system
• maintain CLIA regulations.
• Must possess knowledge of microbiology procedures and antibiotic use and selection.
• Report to the Director of Laboratory Services.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology, one of the specialty areas, or one of chemical or biological sciences with at least two years of experience required.
• Must possess a nationally recognized license under ASCP, AMT, or NCA guidelines.
• Required to be licensed in the state of Montana as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
