Job Description

Medical Laboratory Technologist / Medical Lab Technician (CLS or MLT) needed to support a hospital in Kremmling, CO. The Medical Tech/Medical Laboratory Tech is responsible for providing service excellence through quality patient care, specimen analysis, and meeting all regulatory compliance standards. The role involves coordinating with the Laboratory Manager on compliance and regulatory initiatives, participating in interdepartmental process improvements and evaluations, and ensuring continual adherence to Departmental and Hospital Policies, Procedures, and State/Federal Regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Writing, amending, and reviewing policies and procedures to reflect current practices and regulatory requirements.
  2. Adhering to all safety protocols.
  3. Proficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LIS and laboratory analyzers.
  4. Troubleshooting results and correlating findings with diagnoses.
  5. Participating in proficiency testing.
  6. Handling critical values: identification, repetition, reporting, and documentation.
  7. Performing routine and specialized procedures in urinalysis, hematology, blood bank, chemistry, serology, and coagulation.
  8. Ensuring accurate and proficient operation of all laboratory equipment.

Qualifications include current certification as a CLS or MLT and relevant laboratory experience.
