Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join Baptist Medical Center South on days. You will perform laboratory analyses accurately and provide timely, courteous service to patients, physicians, and staff.
Requirements include an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with ASCP certification and, preferably, a bachelor's or higher in a related science field meeting CLIA qualifications.

Summary: The Medical Lab Technologist shall provide timely and courteous service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff by performing laboratory analyses accurately and efficiently. This individual will detect unusual conditions and assume responsibility for problem solving. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Associate’s degree with Medical Laboratory Technology and clinical laboratory training culminating in national certification, as defined by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) Board of Registry required. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Medical or Clinical Laboratory Sciences from an institution meeting CLIA personnel testing qualifications for moderate & high complexity testing.
Associate degree requires active ASCP Medical Laboratory Technologist certification
