Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues, including identifying microorganisms, analyzing chemical content, and cross-matching blood for transfusions. The results aid in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Associate's Degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences, or medical laboratory training, or equivalent education and training. Individuals performing high complexity testing with a high school diploma and documented training may continue to do so under specific conditions outlined by CLIA regulations.
