Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist

Join us as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist at TieTalent.

Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our dynamic team due to internal movement. This part-time, benefits-eligible role involves working 48 hours per pay period, with a schedule that includes days, evenings, and every 4th weekend.

Responsibilities
  • Promote an engaged and positive environment within the laboratory team.
  • Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for analysis to ensure high quality.
  • Execute computer functions such as test requisition, result entry, and quality documentation.
  • Conduct high complexity laboratory testing, evaluate specimen integrity, and verify patient results.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, documenting all activities.
  • Participate in annual technical competency and proficiency testing programs.
  • Assist in training new staff, students, and other laboratory personnel.
  • Contribute to committees and teams, actively participating and completing assigned tasks.
  • Engage in continuing education activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology (MLT/MLS).
  • ASCP certification required, with the expectation to complete within 6 months if eligible.
  • Accurate and precise work ethic, manual dexterity, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with laboratory information systems.
  • Experience in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank; microbiology experience preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
