Sonic Healthcare USA in Tyler, Texas is seeking a dedicated medical laboratory professional for a full-time, third-shift position. You will join a supportive team dedicated to accurate laboratory testing and patient care.

In this role you will perform moderate to high complexity testing, analyze results, maintain safety and quality controls, and collaborate across the lab to improve processes. Benefits include participation in a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing.
• ASCP certification or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment (e.g., analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, pipettes).

Hours: 3rd Shift (Eligible for 18% Shift Differential)

In this role, you will:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate and high complexity testing
• Analyze, review, and report testing results
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

• At minimum an associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
• Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms
