Job Description

Under supervision and following established procedures, performs routine laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. May also perform phlebotomy. Maintains compliance, confidentiality, and promotes organizational values.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens, perform tests, and report results.
• Coordinate specimen pickup or delivery.
• Maintain records of proficiency testing and quality control activities.
• Recognize and correct measurement issues, report critical results.
• Communicate test results and requirements to authorized sources.
• Train students and new employees in technical procedures.
• Ensure test system performance and corrective actions.
• Administer tests per policies, apply TQM principles, and comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and other policies.
• Maintain regular attendance and work holiday shifts as needed.

Additional Duties

• Perform phlebotomy if qualified.
• Assist with assessments, scheduling, and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

For MLT

• Associate degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or MLT training.
• Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification.
• Phlebotomy may be required.

For MLS/MT

• Bachelor’s degree in a related science and completion of a recognized program, with 1+ years of experience, or 4+ years of experience with a related degree.
• Certification eligible (ASCP or AMT).
• Phlebotomy may be required.

Work Schedule

PRN, Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, with availability required.
