Responsibilities

• Ensure specimens received by the laboratory are acceptable for testing.
• Prepare and interpret gram stains and other preparations for bacteriology.
• Perform routine procedures including ABORH typing and compatibility testing.
• Analyze quality control material and report results outside established limits.
• Assist in the clinical orientation of new laboratory personnel.
