Job Description - MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN, 40 hrs evenings (Temple Women and Families) (252420)
Performs a wide variety of laboratory procedures using both manual and automated methods. Expected to exercise a considerable degree of independent judgment regarding the performance and reporting of results. Actively participates in the laboratory's quality improvement activities.
Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with 26 science credits and appropriate experience in a CLIA laboratory, or Military Training Program (including an official U.S. Military medical laboratory procedures training course and holding the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist - Laboratory Technician). A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree to satisfy regulatory agency requirements.
1 Year experience in relevant laboratory section (Preferred)
ASCP - American Society for Clinical Pathology (Preferred)
