You will receive and prioritize specimens, perform quality control, maintain equipment, and ensure patient identification and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or military medical laboratory training with certification.
• Preferred experience in clinical laboratories.
• Basic computer literacy required; advanced skills preferred.
• National certification in accordance with federal and state regulations; full certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens for accurate and timely testing.
• Executes and reports laboratory procedures as requested.
• Conducts quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance, and inventory documentation.
• Ensures positive patient identification to minimize errors and adverse outcomes.
• Evaluates results, draws appropriate conclusions, and maintains safety standards.
• Adheres to regulatory and competency requirements, following safe laboratory practices.
• Completes assigned goals efficiently.
