Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to support a medical facility in Charlotte, NC. This is a 3+ month contract with the potential for contract-to-hire. Shift: Mon–Fri, 12 PM–8:30 PM.

Responsibilities include evaluating specimens, performing urinalysis, hematology and chemistry tests, and operating analyzers. Requires an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science; ASCP or AMT certification preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science required.
• 1–2 years of clinical lab testing experience preferred/required by position.
• Generalist lab experience in hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens to meet testing requirements.
• Perform routine and complex testing in urinalysis, hematology, and chemistry.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers.
• Maintain quality control and preventive maintenance.

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician to support our client’s medical facility in Charlotte, NC. This is a 3+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Charlotte, NC 28217

Pay Rate: $23 - $26/hr. on W2.

Shift: Mon - Fri 12 PM-8:30 PM

Duration: 3+ months

• Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens to ensure they meet testing requirements.
• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in urinalysis, hematology, and chemistry.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers.
• Work with instruments such as: Roche cobas, Sysmex XN, Clinitek Novus, Beckman Iris
• Perform manual microscopic examinations and manual differentials.
• Experience with Orchard LIS for laboratory testing and documentation.
• Make technical decisions and troubleshoot testing issues.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results.
• Perform and document quality control and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and replenish laboratory supplies.
• Assist with specimen processing when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow PPE requirements.
• Work effectively in a high-complexity, high-volume laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
