Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd's Laboratory is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for full-time weekend and Monday shifts in Southern Indiana. The role requires knowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science and the ability to perform high complexity testing with adherence to SOPs and QC standards.

You will maintain records, exercise independent judgment to produce accurate results, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team at a regional non-profit hospital located near Louisville.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.
• ASCP or AMT certification is required.
• Current students must attain ASCP/AMT certification within 18 months.
• Must meet CLIA ’88 standards to be qualified as testing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity testing according to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain records and use independent judgment to generate accurate results within QC standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a regional, non-profit hospital.

Full time, Saturday and Sunday 6:00a to 6:30p and Monday 6:00a – 2:30p

Baptist Health Floyd, Laboratory

Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area

In this role, you must haveknowledge of Clinical Laboratory Science, possess the skills necessary to perform high complexity testing and have anunderstanding of the clinical relevance of laboratory testing and reporting. Must maintain records of performance and utilize independent judgement to generate acceptable test results within QCstandards. Performs testing according to standard operating procedures.
