Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist for per diem coverage. The role involves performing waived to complex tests under CLIA, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to safety and quality policies.

Lead tech duties may be assigned in supervisor’s absence, with potential LIS/POC responsibilities. The position requires state licensure, ASCP certification is preferred, and minimum hospital laboratory experience for MLT (2 years) or

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license where required.
• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
• MLT: Associate degree or coursework in MLT.
• MT: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent.
• MLT: 2 years hospital lab experience minimum.
• MT: 3 years hospital lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to procedures for collection, processing, analysis and reporting of results.
• Follow quality control policies and document corrective actions.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisor.
• Perform laboratory procedures across Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology.
• Perform maintenance on instruments daily to monthly as needed.
• Review accuracy of patient results prior to reporting.
