Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the medical laboratory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Oversee clinical laboratory testing including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and urinalysis
• Manage, mentor, and evaluate laboratory staff to maintain high performance standards
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Monitor and maintain quality control and quality assurance programs
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to interpret and communicate lab results
• Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling laboratory personnel

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
• Current MLS (ASCP) or equivalent national certification required
• Minimum 3–5 years of clinical laboratory experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of laboratory regulatory standards, including CLIA and CAP accreditation
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and diagnostic instrumentation
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
