Job summary

Sanford Health seeks a Laboratory professional to perform pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical testing stages. You will follow SOPs, maintain safety and quality standards, and support other health care staff across the enterprise.

The role involves serving as a trusted resource, applying independent judgment, and performing additional duties as needed to ensure accurate results and patient care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory Science required.
• Bachelor's degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.
• National certification for MLT or CLT via an approved agency, or registry eligible with exams within 12 months.
• If working in North Dakota, must be licensed or have provisional license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.

Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel and collaborates with other departments across the enterprise. Demonstrates critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Laboratory Science required. MLT
• Bachelors degree in laboratory or biological sciences required. MLS
• Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency, for example American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); or be registry eligible. Registry eligible candidates must successfully complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed or have a provisional license, by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice. Maintain continuing education credits equivalent to the state requirements as needed for license and certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
