Job description

Role Overview:

Responsible for performing and reporting laboratory analyses from various specimens in a clinical environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage multiple work processes efficiently, handle specimens properly, confirm identification, follow accessioning procedures, recognize discrepancies, and resolve issues. Conduct instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, quality control, and replenish supplies. Follow reporting protocols and navigate computer systems. Assist in training new staff and participate in ongoing education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience for Medical Laboratory Scientist; or an associate degree with certification for Medical Laboratory Technician. Successful completion of competency exams. Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
