Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our fast-paced core laboratory, performing testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology for inpatients and outpatients to support rapid turnaround times.

Newly graduated Med Techs are welcome. A bachelor degree in MLS or an associate degree in MLT is required, with certification within one year of hire; prior high-complexity testing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in MLS or an Associate degree in MLT or equivalent required.
• Must become certified within one year of hire.
• Previous work experience in high complexity testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and microbiology.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Ensure quality control and accurate reporting of results.
• Collaborate with clinicians and hospital teams to ensure patient care.
