Job summary

The Baptist Health Louisville Laboratory acts as the core laboratory for the Baptist Health system, performing testing for both inpatients and outpatients in a fast-paced, automated setting. The Medical Laboratory Scientist conducts testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank and microbiology to ensure timely results.

Newly graduated Med Tech students are welcome to apply; candidates must become certified within one year of hire, and prior experience with high-complexity testing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent required.
• Must become certified within one year of hire.
• Previous work experience in high complexity testing preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform testing in chemistry, hematology, blood bank and microbiology.
• Support fast turnaround for inpatients and outpatients.
• Learn and grow in a busy laboratory environment.
