Overview

Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified, Medical Laboratory Scientist to work in Shreveport, LA.

Responsibilities


  • Perform specimen handling, processing, and analysis following laboratory procedures and SOPs.

  • Review, interpret, and release patient test results with accuracy.

  • Maintain records for patient results, QC, proficiency testing, and calibrations.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve testing issues or escalate to supervisor.

  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory safety policies.

  • Train/review new procedures and participate in educational meetings.

  • Communicate STAT or critical results to clients per department policy.

  • Maintain department appearance, supplies, and reagent logs.

  • Support inspections and regulatory compliance activities as needed.


Qualifications


  • BS in Medical Technology; BS/BA in Chemistry, Biology, or Associate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology accepted.

  • Certification (ASCP or AMT); eligibility required.

  • Knowledge of laboratory testing, QC/QA, and safety standards.

  • Strong computer and multitasking skills; ability to prioritize and work independently.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.


Job Requirements

  • Must meet CLIA requirements; foreign candidates must provide credential evaluation.

  • Must maintain patient confidentiality and follow regulatory compliance.

Job Details


  • 8 hour shifts.

  • Must be flexible.

  • Starting at $35.00/hr (Based on experience) + benefits
