Qualifications

• LSMLS license CLG/CLS required for Clinical Lab Generalist role.
• Familiarity with ABORH typing, serology, and quality control procedures is expected.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and documentation practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure specimens received are acceptable for testing and maintain specimen integrity.
• Label, accession, and distribute specimens while preserving patient ID integrity.
• Initiate orders for blood and blood components and perform routine procedures.
• Follow safety policies and report variances to supervisors.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and troubleshoot issues.
• Document and review test results within established turnaround times.
• Prepare stains and perform serology-related procedures as required.
• Assist with quality control materials, proficiency testing, and documentation.
• Support clinical orientation of new staff and manage waste disposal.
