Job summary

AdventHealth in Port Orange, Florida is seeking a Laboratory Technician (PRN Night shift) to join our clinical team. The role supports safe lab operations, handles pre-analytical and post-analytical activities, and maintains equipment and supplies while ensuring accurate results and compliance with SOPs.

You will collaborate with clinical staff, participate in proficiency testing, and may serve as a preceptor to new employees.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in laboratory science or equivalent.
• Field of study: laboratory science, chemical or biological science, or medical laboratory technology.
• Experience with laboratory testing procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies, PPE, and hazardous material handling.
• Perform pre-analytical activities and procedural checks.
• Execute post-analytical reporting and provide technical support.
• Maintain equipment and spaces through cleaning and disinfection.
• Participate in proficiency testing and ensure compliance with SOPs.
