Job summary

Interpath Laboratory in Pendleton, Oregon, is seeking Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join the Hematology Department. You will perform high-complexity hematology tests, ensure accuracy and timely reporting, and operate advanced lab instruments in a safety-focused environment.

Schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00 am–10:30 am, with a starting wage of $34 per hour plus a 10% night shift differential.

Minimum Qualifications

• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science
• Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification or an equivalent credential required.

Work Environment

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) at Interpath Laboratory, you’ll be working in a highly specialized, safety-focused environment where adherence to protective protocols is essential. Team members must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including lab coats, gloves, goggles, and face shields, at all times while handling potentially infectious samples.

Physical & Functional Requirements

• Stand or sit for extended periods while conducting laboratory testing
• Lift and maneuver up to 25 pounds as needed
• Distinguish color and pass a vision acuity test in compliance with CAP regulations

This role falls under OSHA Category I, meaning tasks involve potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues.
