Shift: Day
Hours: 5- 8 hr shifts, every third weekend

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position, under minimal supervision, is responsible for independently performing complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues that includes standardized microscopic, chemical, and/or bacteriological testing. All testing is performed in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, FDA, CAP, OSHA, CUA, and Joint Commission regulations and guidelines. Test results are used in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  • Must be Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Technologist certified through ASCP, ASCPi, AMT or equivalent certification agency.
  • Two (2) years clinical laboratory experience in related discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical lab experience preferred.
