Job summary

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking qualified Corrections clinical laboratory professionals to join our national program. Positions require degrees in biological sciences with strong chemistry/mathematics foundations and NAACLS-accredited medical technology training or equivalent.

Applicants must meet grade-level education and experience requirements (GL-07/GL-09) and possess knowledge of hematology, chemistry, microbiology and quality control procedures within a clinical laboratory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree with biological science, chemistry and mathematics and successful completion of a NAACLS–accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist program or equivalent.
• A full 4-year course of study including 12 months in a college or hospital-based medical technology program or approved by an accrediting organization.
• Bachelor's or graduate degree with biological sciences, chemistry and mathematics and five years of full-time clinical laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, microbiology and related areas.
