Summary of Job Duties

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs technical procedures including HLA typing by rSSO and next-generation sequencing, Luminex-based HLA Antibody identification, and flow cytometric cross-matching.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or medical technology
  • 2 years clinical laboratory experience
  • CHT (ABHI) certification within 1 year of eligibility
  • Ability to identify and report abnormal results, communicate effectively, work independently, and multi-task
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or clinical laboratory science
  • CHT (ABHI) certification
Responsibilities
  • Assist other technologists and maintain quality control
  • Perform testing, interpret, and report patient results
  • Support new test analysis and equipment validation
  • Maintain instrumentation and perform quality assurance
  • Perform validation and verification of new testing methods
