Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs and monitors a full range of lab tests and research, with responsibilities including problem resolution, quality control, and equipment maintenance, often with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions

• Perform laboratory tests in accordance with department procedures and regulatory standards.
• Follow quality control, safety, and infection control protocols.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instruments.
• Accurately report test results.
• Manage inventory of supplies.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory personnel and external customers.
• Participate in projects and educational activities.
• Educate others on laboratory methods and technical skills.
