Yuma Regional Medical Center dba Onvida Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines in a CLIA, CAP, and/or DNV-GL compliant environment at the Yuma facility. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree and MLS certification is preferred.

This is a regular full-time, day-shift position located in Yuma, AZ, with salary details provided as a base range and total rewards package.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 0 years experience.
• MLS Certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs superior quality specimen processing, evaluation and results reporting.
• Independently performs instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Recognizes and resolves specimen integrity issues as needed.
• Interprets patient results and appropriately reports critical values including documentation of provider notification.
• Perform and evaluate QC with necessary corrective action taken and noted.
• Responsible for thorough knowledge of instrument calibration, linearity, correlations, and other essential quality functions.
• Follows universal precautions when handling specimens.
• Ability to assist with coverage for alternate shifts when needed.
• Practices positive teamwork and maintains cooperative and respectful relationships with staff.
• Maintains excellent technical knowledge regarding area of responsibility. May be required to train/mentor new staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
