Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in medical laboratory technology or related field with licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in applicable state.
• 1 year of relevant clinical laboratory experience; substitution allowed per policy.
• State licensure requirements vary by state (FL/MD/DC) and must be met upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs a wide range of laboratory tests including hematology, microbiology, immunology, chemistry, transfusion, and molecular diagnostics.
• Analyzes and interprets test results for accuracy and reliability.
• Collects and prepares biological samples (blood, urine, tissue) with proper labeling and storage to maintain integrity.
• Operates and maintains sophisticated laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Performs routine calibration and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards (CLIA, CAP, OSHA).
• Records and communicates test results and prepares detailed reports for healthcare providers.
