Job summary

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I to join our team at 90 Blossom Street, Boston. Starting rate is $33/hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus discussed during the interview process.

Pay is based on experience, education, and certifications, plus differentials and incentives where applicable. Under CLIA, you will process specimens, perform tests, and report waived and non-waived results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related lab science field is required.
• ASCP-BOC eligibility preferred; certification is advantageous.
• Lab experience 1-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and perform tests per CLIA guidelines.
• Report waived and non-waived test results accurately.
• Maintain records of patient test results and quality control.
• Follow procedures and communicate issues to supervisors as needed.
• Engage in orientation and competency assessments for instruments.
