Henry Ford Macomb Hospital seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and body fluids, using manual techniques or instruments, under general supervision.

MLS rotates through departments, collaborates with ER and outpatient teams, maintains competency, ensures accuracy with quality control, and participates in safety and data systems. Sign-on bonus available, with bachelor's degree and six months' experience preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required.
• Six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency to perform laboratory functions.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine and complex biological, chemical, cytological, hematological, histologic, immunological, microscopic, and/or bacteriological tests procedures on laboratory specimens, using manual or automated techniques and information systems.
• Evaluates instrument performance and quality control results to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytic data.
• Collaborates with leadership staff to improve processes and resolve problems.
• Performs calibration, preventive maintenance, quality control, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and information systems.
