• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology required
• CLSP-NCA Clinical Lab Specialist credential required
• ASCP credentials (e.g., MT/MLS, MB/MT) required or equivalent
• Multiple ASCP certifications listed in the ad indicate extensive lab specialty requirements

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and test orders; prepare specimens for analysis
• Organize workload to meet medical staff needs and reduce rework
• Perform routine and special testing; evaluate results and troubleshoot abnormal findings
• Respond to STAT requests and emergencies without delay
• Maintain quality control documentation and instrument maintenance records
• Order supplies and manage inventory for the lab
• Document temperatures and equipment function per protocol
• Train new staff and cover in-charge technologist duties when needed
