Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field or equivalent certification readiness.
• Internship as a medical technologist or other comparable experience.
• Knowledge of quality control test measurements and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Processes specimens and performs testing with minimal guidance.
• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Records and evaluates quality control results and implements corrective action as needed.
• Communicates test results and technical information to physicians and staff.
• Participates in evaluation of new methods, procedures or equipment.
• Trains other personnel on policies, procedures and protocols.
