Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for the Medical Center - Fort Worth in the Lab-Pathology department. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in medical technology/clinical laboratory science with NAACLS program completion and at least six months of clinical lab experience, preferably pediatric.

Responsibilities include performing waived to high complexity testing, maintaining quality systems, and rotating on-call.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field with NAACLS program.
• Minimum six months clinical lab testing experience.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Certified by ASCP or registry eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing and ensure test systems function properly.
• Staff hours and rotate on-call as needed.
• Adhere to compliance plans and reporting results.
• Handle pediatric patient specimens appropriately.
