Job Duties

Performs and reports various analyses from multiple specimen sources, providing the highest level of patient care and maximizing patient satisfaction. Meets the qualifications to care for patients in the specific age range of their clinical area.

  • Maintains expected productivity levels.
  • Manages multiple work processes efficiently.
  • Completes tasks promptly.
  • Handles specimens properly, confirming identification and suitability.
  • Uses appropriate accessioning procedures.
  • Recognizes discrepancies on patient orders and resolves issues accordingly.
  • Performs and records instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control.
  • Replenishes reagents and supplies as per protocols.
  • Follows established reporting procedures across various communication modes.
  • Navigates multiple computer applications necessary for the role.
  • Assists in training and orienting new employees.
  • Participates in educational activities to stay current in the field.
  • Successfully completes initial and ongoing competency exams.

Work is performed in a clinical environment with accountability for meeting job obligations and organizational policies. Position Details

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution AND successful completion of an ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science program OR
  • Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP categorical certification OR
  • Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND at least two years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory role.
  • Hiring Incentive: This position qualifies for a $12,500 SIGN ON BONUS for eligible candidates.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree (Required), with preferred experience in a laboratory setting. Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience preferred.

Certifications & Licenses

Relevant certifications required as applicable.
