Job summary

Central Peninsula Hospital in Alaska is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform laboratory testing on blood, body fluids and tissue. You will operate and maintain core laboratory equipment and produce timely, accurate results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Medical Technology or related field.
• National Registry as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
• 2 years of Clinical Laboratory experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Laboratory Scientist contributes to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients by accurately performing laboratory testing procedures on blood, body fluids and tissue. This individual is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment and instrumentation throughout the laboratory in accordance with regulatory standards and for producing timely and accurate test results.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's of Science in Medical Technology or related field
• National Registry as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
• 2 years of Clinical Laboratory experience preferred

Pay Range: $39.99 - $48.91 (rate of pay is based on years of experience)
