Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in MLS from a NAACLS accredited MLS program or a related science degree.
  • National ASCP/AMT/AMSL or equivalent certification required upon hire.
  • At least 1 year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a hospital/clinical lab.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and timely report high complexity lab test results with minimal supervision.
  • Perform pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation and data analysis.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot instruments and assist with problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with acute-care and outpatient caregivers and Laboratory Services staff.

Full-Time/Night Shift

The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required Qualifications:
