Medical Laboratory Scientist – Great Bend, KS 67530

We are hiring for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to support our client’s facility at Great Bend, KS 67530. This is a direct hire, full-time opportunity offering excellent benefits, a stable schedule, and the chance to work with one of the state’s leading healthcare systems.

Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) will perform a wide variety of laboratory tests and analyses to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating patients. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, quality control, and analytical instrumentation to ensure accurate and timely results.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory testing across multiple disciplines using established procedures and standards.
• Analyze and interpret results, ensuring accuracy and reliability in patient testing.
• Conduct quality control, preventive maintenance, and calibration on lab instruments.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot testing procedures or equipment when results are inconsistent.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures to maintain a safe laboratory environment.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree in Laboratory Science or equivalent military training eligible for ASCP or NCA certification – Required

Certifications

• ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent certification (or eligible within 6 months of hire) – Required

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of MLS experience – Required

• Pay Range: $24 – $34/hour
