Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join CHI Mercy Council Bluffs in Iowa. The role focuses on analyzing and reporting a range of laboratory tests with accuracy and adherence to procedures under regulatory guidelines.

The MLS works to ensure timely results, supports major automated equipment, and participates in proficiency testing and ongoing education. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science or Medical Technology, or related field.
• Appropriately trained in clinical lab science.

Responsibilities

• Appropriately perform and report waived a variety of moderately and highly complex test procedures
• Provide excellent patient care throughout the laboratory process within established turnaround times
• Assist in upkeep and maintenance of major automated equipment
• Perform proficiency testing as assigned, participating in opportunities for continued education or training
• Complete all work and resolve or escalate issues
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements
• Other duties as assigned
