Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for a per-diem, day-shift role.

You will perform a wide range of laboratory procedures, including high-complexity work across multiple sections including blood bank/transfusion services, under the supervision of the General Laboratory Supervisor. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• California CLS license required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity lab procedures in at least three sections, including blood bank/transfusion services.
• Report to General Laboratory Supervisor and ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

Medical Laboratory Scientis at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. This position is per-diem and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Reporting to the General Laboratory Supervisor, this position is responsible for performing superior customer satisfaction, ensuring the highest quality care and service. Performs a wide range of procedures including procedures of high complexity in at least three laboratory sections where one of the sections is blood bank/transfusion services.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire

Preferred qualifications:

• 2 years experience after Clinical Lab Scientist licensure as a Generalist or Microbiologist

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
