Qualifications

• Associate's degree in medical laboratory science or related field from an accredited institution.
• 1-3 years clinical laboratory experience or equivalent training.
• Experience in a hospital laboratory setting or medical related environment.
• Pass Fit Test and meet all Employee Health Requirements.
• Preferred ASCP/AMT/NCA/HEW certification and BLS/CPR.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical laboratory procedures and reports results promptly and accurately.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection and processing.
• Conduct proficiency testing, QA, QC and process improvement activities.
• Perform instrument maintenance and ensure safety and infection control compliance.
• Contribute to patient care planning and outcomes assessment.
• Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
