Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician PRN to support high-quality testing at Summerville Medical Center. You will prepare specimens, run routine tests, perform QC, and maintain instruments while communicating results to clinical and non-clinical staff.
The role requires either BS in Medical Technology or related field with ASCP BOC certification (or eligible to obtain within year); an MLT/ASSOC degree with certification is also acceptable.
Supports high quality laboratory testing in a clinical laboratory. Prepares specimens for testing, performs routine laboratory tests, performs quality control and maintenance procedures, recognizes computer data problems, troubleshoots laboratory instruments, communicates technical information to medical and lay persons, assists with training laboratory personnel in routine procedures, participates in continuing education, and recognizes normal and abnormal values.
