Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the biologic, chemical or physical sciences.
• Minimum of three years experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Must be licensed Medical Technologist in Florida in more than one clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and uses proper controls and standards for all tests performed.
• Records data and follows guidelines for out of range results.
• Correlates data and monitors test results for reasonableness.
• Detects discrepancies and takes appropriate action.
• Performs and documents scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance.
• Recognizes and troubleshoots equipment malfunctions using results and performance as guide.
