Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technologist for Meridian Medical Center in Tualatin, OR. The position runs on a 7 on, 7 off schedule, Thursday–Wednesday, 9PM–7:30AM, performing routine and complex tests across hospital departments.

The candidate should hold a life science degree with ASCP/AMT certification and have clinical lab experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k) and more.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or Medical Technology.
  • ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
  • 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Determine acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
  • Function as a generalist across hospital laboratory departments.
  • Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
  • Make technical testing decisions and solve problems.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate, timely test results for patient care.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and quality control.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies.
  • Assist with processing of specimens as needed.

LabCorp is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our team at the Meridian Medical Center in Tualatin, OR.

Work Schedule: 7 on, 7 off Thursday -Wednesday 9PM-7:30AM

Job Responsibilities
  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
  • Function as a generalist across hospital laboratory departments
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
  • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
  • Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, Medical Technology
  • ASCP or AMT certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
