Piedmont Medical Network - Rock Hill Hospital is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform a variety of tests on blood, body fluids, and tissues under supervision. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen processing, and adherence to laboratory policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical laboratory program or equivalent.
• Registered or Registry-eligible within one year of hire; licensure as required by state law.
• 0–2 years of experience as a medical laboratory technician.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and processes specimens for in-house and reference lab testing.
• Directs requests for time off and prioritizes workload.
• Performs laboratory analysis and interprets results; notifies care team of critical results.
• Maintains equipment and performs calibration and quality control tasks.
• Ensures proper operation and timely maintenance of instruments; supports supervision in absence.
• Performs related duties as required.
