Qualifications

Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology required.
Successful completion of an accredited internship program and MLT registry examination, or registry eligible.
Nationally recognized certification preferred, such as MLT (ASCP).

Responsibilities

Performs hematology, coagulation, chemistry, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, immunology, microbiology and phlebotomy procedures.
Assists department supervisors with daily operational activities and troubleshooting.
Participates in Performance Improvement (PI) activities and supports accreditation standards (CAP, CLIA, DNV-GL).
Ensures adherence to federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
Exercises independent judgment in recognizing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.
